A sister,Mrs Ellen Garrett,with whom Mr Hardesty had resided,found he had passed away after he failed to answer her call to breakfast on Wednesday morning.O.A Pace,coroner of Oregon City,was summoned,but no inquest was held. Mr Hardesty was born at Blandensville,Illinois,in 1829 The deceased is survived by his sister,Mrs garrett,and other relatives.among them being a brother in law,Marion Samson of Needy,and a nephew,Geroge hardesty, a well known local man.
