Virignia Hampton Drowns At La Grande, Oregon
Virginia Hampton, the nine year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hampton of 
Canby, was drowned at La Grande Sunday when she broke through the ice from 
which she was drinking, according to reports received by the parents that 
evening. Mr. and Mrs. Hampton left immediateyl for LaGrande.
The little girl had been staying at the home of her Aunt fro some little time. 
Shew as born in Canby September 9,1921.
