All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com December 27, 2006, 9:29 am Canby Herald December 10,1925 Pioneer Resident Called to His Reward James K.Polk Gribble,well known pioneer of Oregon,died at his hojme near Aurora Saturday,November 28.Mr.Gribble was born near Warrensburg,Johnson County,Missouri,81 years ago and crossed the plains with his parents in 1846.He wintered at Arthur Prairie,Clackamas county.In the spring of 1847 the family moved to the donation land claim on Gribble Prairie where Mr Gribble has since resided.Mr.Gribble on May 22,1872,married Mary E.Irvin,who with the following children ,survive.Mrs.Albeta Winches of Portland,Lane L.,Earl R,Wade and Miss Amy Gribble of Aurora;Mrs.Viola Hochtritt,Portland;Mrs.Lillian Farley,Seatte,Wash.;James Land,Eugene S.Gribble,Aurora;Mrs.Lis Irish,and Mrsa Blanche Groshong of Portland,besides 19 grandchildren.The funeral services wewre held Moday and internment was in Gribble cemetary File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/or/clackamas/obits/g/gribble2605gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/orfiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
