He was one of Oswegos pioneer merchants and at one time post master and resided for years in South Oswego.He was also owner of considerable real estate here. Mr.Gans was 87 yers old and came to Oswego from germany nearly 71 years ago.His wife Clara gans died several years ago.Surviving him are one son,Henry G.Gans o Anaheim,California.Two daughters, Mrs,Rose Pope of Oregon City and Mrs.Elva Blackburn of Woodland,Washington. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the Holman and Pace chapel.Numerous friends and relatives being present.Circuit Judge J.L.Campbell,an old friend of the family and former resident of Oswego spoke a few words.Final Rites were held at the Portland Crematorium.
