Canby Herald and Clackamas County News June 19,1924
Lawrence Ferguson,who for the past 47 years has lived in Clackamas County,died 
at his home at New Era on Saturday morning,June 14,after several months illness
Mr ferguson was born in Canada,June 15,1849,and woul dhave been 75 years old 
June 15 last.he engage din farming in Clackamas County until 14 years ago,when 
he sold his farm to Professor Strom,principal of the Brooklyn 
school,Portland.He made his home at the old farm for 32 years and the funeral 
services were held there Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock,with internment in the 
family lot in the Zion cemetary near Canby.
Mr ferguson is survived by three children,Mrs Sylvia Woodrome,of Kansas 
City,Mo;Miss Pearl Ferguson of New Era;and Oliver Ferguson of Astoria
