Tice at a hospital in Oregon City last week, and Mrs. L.D.Ewing at Lyle Washington, both occurring the same day and at about the saem time of day, is somewhat of a coincidence. Mr. Tice was an uncle of Mrs. Ewing, and had lived in this community for many years. He was born in Iowa in 1853 and moved to Oregon in 1862.He issurvived by one brother, Alex Tice of Canby, three nephews,Wm. Stone,Kelso,Wash;Warren Lee of Canby; and Milo Lee of Canby;six nieces, Adele Shull,Ora Cattley and Eldie Rider,Canby;Ella Houghman and Jane Jasperson of Woodland,Wash, and May Hannigan of California. Mrs. Ella Ewiing died at Lyle,Wash,Apri 22.She was born in Canby of pioneer parents,Mr.andMrs. Herman Lee,December 5,1875.She was married to L.D.Ewing in 1905.Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Lee Ewing,of Lyle,Washington. and the sisters mentioned above.She was buried at Lule Washington, where hse had lived fro twenty five years.
