Canby herald December 19,1929
When Wilson H. Evans was on the streets of Canby,Monday of last 
week,conversing with friends and in his usual health, no one suspected that 
the conversation would so suddenly consummated forever.
Mr.Evans was stricekn with paralyssis early Tuesday morning and died the 
follwoing Thursday morning without regaining consciousness.
Wilson Highalnd Evans was born on the old home place owned y his father, 
Captain James Evans, across the Willamette river a few miles from Canby.He was 
born in 169 and had spent his entire life in and near this city. He is 
survived by his widow, Mrs. Francine Evans, who will in the future make her 
home witha sister, mrs. Peter Susbauer, at Clackamas.
Funeral services were held in the I.O.O.F. hall at Canby Saturday afternoon, 
conducted by the I.O.O.F. Lodge and internment took place in Zion cmeetary
