Although past 90 years at the time of her death,she had been active up to within a few days.A number of her sons and daughters live within two or three miles of her home and she would visit one every day,walking six or seven miles on the trip from house to house. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was in the Old Plattenburg cemetary in the Stafford District.W.Leisman,of Willamette,presided at the funeral at the special request of Mrs Elligsen.She was born in germany November 10,1821 and came to America when she was a young woman.In 1848 she married in Ontario and came to Oregon in 1879.Her husband died 52 years ago in Canada. She is survived by seven children: August Elligsen and Henry Elligsen,in Canada; Fred Ellidsen,Goerge Elligsen and Zacharius Elligsen,in Stafford;Mrs J.L.
