Death Calls Another of Canby's Pioneers
John Christenson of Canby,who died Friday,January 13,at the family home near 
the fair grounds,at the age of 51,was born in Lollen,Denmark,October 
11,1875.He came to America when he was 12 years old and was adopted by his 
uncle in Iindianapolis,Indiana,where he grew to manhood.After coming to Canby 
in 1908,he was married to Isabella Smith,1908.Seven children were born to 
them,five of whom are living and two are dead.
He was a member of the Danish Lutheran Church.
He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his loss.During his years  of 
residing in Canby,Mr Christenson  has made many friends,who will all mourn his 
loss.The funeral was held in the Methodist church,Rev W.Boyd Moore conducting 
the service,assisted by the choir,and his body was laid to rest in Zion 
Cemetary
