Bridge Of This City Funeral services are held from the Family Home at 1 o'clock Today,Internment in Zion Cemetary Funeral services for the late William Bridge,who died at his home near this city Monday Afternoon,January 7,after a brief illness of pneumonia,were held at the home this sfternoon at 1 o'clock,Rev W.Boyd Moore,pastor of the Methodist Church of this city,officiating,with internment in the Zion Cemetary near Canby. William bridge was born January 1,1833,in Rob Roy,Fountain County,Indiana,being the next to the youngest in a family of ten,and at the time of his death was 91 years and six days of age.While a young man he moved with his parents near Logansport,Indiana,where he received his education and afterward taught school for a number of years.He also learned and followed the trade of a stone and brick mason.On may 18,1856,he was united in marriage to Hannah C.Dague,of Fulton,Indiana,to which this union nine children were born.in 1867 he moved with his family to Peru,Nebraska,where he purchased a farm on which he lived until march,1902,when with his family he moved to PLeasant Home,Oregon.In 1910 he sold the Pleasant Home farm and moved to Canby,where he resided unitl his death. Mr Bridge,especially in his younger days,was actively interested in education and politics and was always ready to help in projects he thought just and right.With the passing of our dear friend,a deep loss is felt throughout the entire community and the bereaved family has the profound sympathy of the whole community.Mr Bridge celebrated his 91st birthday on January 1st. mr Bridge is survived by seven children,15 grandchildren,24 great grandchildren and two great,great grandchildren.His children are: mrs jennie Bailey,Canby;Mrs C.Christensen,Troutdale;the late Alice Bridge of Nebraska;Mrs Amy Swank,Highland;the late Mrs Jessie Lancaster,Canada;S.F.
