All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com March 29, 2007, 6:55 am Canby Herald March 14,1929 Mulino Lumberman Instantly Killed A.C.Bluhn,owner of the lumber camp at Mulino,a station east of Canby,was instantly killed Saturday morning when a log rolled over his body.Mr.Bluhn was in charge of the camp and direting a crew of men at work rolling logs down a hill.One of the logs struck a stump,according to reports from the scene of the accident,causing the end to strike the unfortunate man.He was knocked to the ground and one end of the big stick of timber rolled upon his chest.Life was extinct when the log was removed by his helpers. Morris Holman,county coroner,was summoned to the scene from Oregon Cityand after an investigation of the circumstances,decided that no inquest was necessary. Mr.Bluhn was a native of Canada and was fourty five years of age.He had spent most of his life in Clackamas county.He is sruvived by three brothers and three sisters,namely;August,John and William and Mrs.Flora Fisher and Misses Elsie abd Athleen Bluhm of Portlasnd.
