Funeral Services For Elias Arntsen held Mon
Funeral services for the late Elias Arntsen,whio died at the Emanuel Hospital 
in Portland on Saturday.March 22.after an illness of about four weeks with 
paralysis were held from the Pearsons undertaking parlos,in 
Portland,Monday,March 24,at 3 p.m.,with internment in the family lot in Mt 
Scott cemetary.
Mr Arntsen,up to his illness,with the exception of a year or so spent in 
Portland,had resided in Cannby since 1899,coming here with his family from 
Wisconsin.His wife passed away a few years ago.He was born in 
Trondhjem,Norway,on October 10,1841,and at the time of his death was 82 
years,5 months and 10 days of age.
Mr Arntsen was well known and highly respected in this community and had been 
in the shoe repair business here for many years.
he is survived by the following children:E.M and S.A Arntsen,of Portland;Mrs 
Hinderlie,of Parkland,Wash.;one adopted daughter,Mrs J Brown,of 
Gresham,Ore.;one brother and two sisters in Norway.
