Salem,Ore-Mar 24-(Special)
At a formal dinner held last evening in the Peacock room of the Gray belle,at 
Salem,Miss Ethelyn Daniel announced her engagement to Mr harold Regele.
Daffodils and carnations were used in the development of the yellow and white 
color scheme.Yellow ribbon streamers ran from the center basket to the yellow 
rose nut baskets which were combined with place cards.Lying concealed within 
the ferns was a small gift box containing Miss Daniels Engagement diamond in 
its tiffany basket setting.
At the dinner hour Mr Regele announced his engagement ot his Phi Kappa Pi 
fraternity brothers .Mr Regele is a former Canby boy,now a senior at 
Willamette University,Salem,Oregon.he is prominent in campus activities and 
athletics at the University;also being president of the Philodorain 
Society,and Senior scholar in the Department of Physics.
Miss Daniels is a senior at Willamette University,having formerly attended 
Washington State College,and her home was at Spokane,Wash.
