Sherwood Journal April 17, 1914
Relatives and friends of mrs N.E Iler mat at her home on April 13,to assist in 
the celebration of her 73rd birthday anniversary.A bounteous dinner was 
enjoyed at 11:30 until some time later in the day.The proof of the pudding is 
in the eating and there was plenty of proof.Eat! Well Rather! L.S McConnell 
was taken home,in a buggy,John Iler borrowed his brothers rig to take himself 
and his family home,some of the ladies were seen resorting to a package of 
soda and others were still complaining the next morning that they had not 
slept well.Even the learned "medicine amn" is accused of partaking so freely 
that his waist measurement increased seven inches.After wishing their kind 
hostess many happy returns the guests returned to their home declaring the day 
well spent
Thos present included the Messers and Mesdames John Iler and Frank 
Davis,Mesdames Jane McConnell,Sindey Catching,Chas, Calkins,Chas Kelly and W.A 
Snyder,and Misses Eva and Lilly McConnell,jessie and Ruby Iler,Kathryn 
Kelly,Lucille Davis and Hild Calkins,and Messrs L.S Roy and James 
Mcconnell,Denzil Calkins,Hugh Iler,Dr Becker,Darrell and Donald kelly, and
