Canby Herald And Clackamas County News February 8, 1923
Last Friday afternoon,a few of Mrs F,C. Reynolds neighbors and friends 
gathered at Mrs Blackmans home and went in a body to wish Mrs Reynolds "many 
happy returns of the day"
A neighbor preceded the party and amanaged in a clever manner to get the 
hostess in the basement,where her friends found her.The dining room was 
quickly converted into a festive scene,with decorations in red and white.The 
table was a joy,with a friendship chain with hearts attached to the links,each 
containing a good wish.There were heart for place cards,and a huge 
cake,decorated with "Aquarius" the February sign of the zodiac.Choice cut 
flowers from a friend also  adorned the table and added to the color scheme.
Diversions were " A study in Ages" an interesting reading and an "Old sayings 
game",which caused much merriment.
Refreshments of brick ice cream,cake and coffee were served.
All present regretted that such a happy occasion was of so short a duration
