Clark was the scene of a very merry party on Friday ,March 30th,when a few of her friends surprised her with a dinner on her 77th birthday. The dinner had been previuosly prepared by the ladies.mrs brown brought a prettily decorated cake with the sign of the Aries amking a yellow border on the white cake and 77 yellow and white candles forming the outer rim,and covers were laid for eleven. The afternoon was spent in social talk and all enjoyed the pleasant walk to and from the Clark home through the shady grove near which the Clark home is situated mr Clark was the recipient of several beautiful presents,some of which were from distant friends and relatives.
