Clackamas County News September 29, 1921
Vancouver,Wash-Sept 28
Frank Verschata and Lena Steene,both of New Era,Or.,were all but signed up for 
a marriage license at the auditors office when it was learned the bride had 
not been divorced the full six months required by law.The license was cancelled
The couople were reported in the Oregonian as having secured a marriage 
license a few hours later in Portland
