Canby Herald November 28, 1929
One of the happy ecents in Canby which attracted much attention during the 
Thanksgiving festivities was the observance of the golden wedding of Mr and 
Mrs. David Beugil of Yoder which was held at the home of their daughter, Mrs. 
L.A. Dawes, at the Cottage Hotel in Canby.
Their nine children were all present at the elebration and it was very much 
enjoyed. The chldrena re: E.Beugil of Silverton,Mrs.N. Beer of Hubbard, Amos 
Beugil of McMinnville,Mrs. Lena Kleen,Pratum; Mrs. Sarah Kirk, Silverton;Chris 
Beugil,Silverton;Mrs. Arther Kinster,Liberal; and Mrs.A.L.Dawes of Canby.
There were many other guests present numbering more than one hundred and 
included relatives of the aged honored guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Beugil occupied one table, and the guests occupied three other 
ables spread at the Cottage Hotel with many good things to eat.
The rooms were beuatifully decorated for the occassion in gold and white and 
the centerpiece was a most beuatiful wedding cake, bake dby Mrs. Beck of this 
city.
Mr. and Mrs. Beugil were married in Ohio and came to Oreogn City in 
1879,locatin at Silverton.They have resided in Marion and Clackamas county 
continously since that tiome.
Eli Steiner of Yoder, brother ofMr. Beugil, and Mrs. Joe Conner of Yoder, a 
sister of Mr.Beugil, were present at the wedding fifty years ago in Ohio and 
they were also present at the golden wedding anniversary Thanksgiving Day.
Two other sisters of Mrs. Beugil, Mrs. Chris Giger of Yoder and Mrs. Alben 
Gobalt of Spokane,Wash., alos enjoyed this function.
It is said that 120 rtelatives were present at the dinner.
