Child Swallows Strychnine
Sugar Coated Pill Tasted Good,But Caused Death
Philomath,Or.Sept.9-(Special- After eating sugar coated pills,the 3 year old 
child of Walter Howell,a laborer at the Benton county sawmill,seven miles west 
of here,died last night after intense suffering.
The child ws left alone for a few moments ni a house into which the Howell 
family was moving.Finding two bottles of the pellets in the household effects 
already move the child swallowed enough to make 50 dose for an infant,and was 
soon in spasms.
